Joining the City of Chico's team in January 2019, Josh Marquis arrived at a pivotal time and was part of the City's IT infrastructure revolution. In February 2022, he played a crucial role in the launch of the City's Fiber Utility. With over 19 years of experience in local government IT, his journey includes a notable tenure as the Information Technology Manager for the Town of Paradise. Prior to stepping into the public sector, Josh operated a small IT consulting firm in Northern California. The Town of Paradise, one of his significant clients, leaned on his expertise for nearly four years before he was invited to helm their IT department.

Josh attended Chico State where he not only refined his technical prowess but also met his wife and travel companion. When stepping away from the tech and city management realm, Josh is drawn to exploration, whether hiking treasured trails or embarking on global adventures.
